This comparative review focuses on English-speaking native-born and foreign-born residents of New York City. Individuals are grouped by educational achievement: high school or less, some college and/or an associate degree, and bachelor’s degree holders or those with advanced education. The analysis measures disparities across income, unemployment, poverty, working poverty, full-time employment, homeownership, and rent burden. By comparing similarly educated populations, the findings shed light on differences linked to nativity.
