Comparison of outcomes of foreign-born and native-born New Yorkers.

This report examines differences between native-born and foreign-born New Yorkers who are proficient in English. The analysis is divided into three educational categories: high school diploma or below, some college or associate degree, and bachelor’s degree or higher. Outcomes are assessed using seven indicators, including income levels, unemployment rates, poverty, working poverty, full-time employment, homeownership, and rent burden. The comparisons reveal how birthplace may influence opportunities and outcomes among individuals with similar educational attainment.
